NLE PTO Welcomes NLE Families to the 2024-2025 School Year

Dear Newton-Lee Families,

On behalf of NLE’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Board, we'd like to wish you a warm welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. 

The purpose of the PTO is to enhance the education experience at NLE by providing exceptional support to our students, parents, faculty and staff.  We are parent volunteers, teachers, and staff who work together to support our school and enrich the lives of our children and students. 

The annual family membership fee supplements the main source of PTO revenue that is generated by fundraising activities during the year. The PTO budget is allocated to a wide variety of PTO-sponsored events and services that directly benefit ALL of our children, our families and the faculty.

The money raised by the PTO is used to enrich the educational environment at NLE in numerous ways:

• Support teachers with staff appreciation events, EOY party, and general classroom supplies

• Support students by hosting school events, promotion celebrations, after school enrichment programs, assisting in field day, and habit hero parade

• Bridge the funding gap for NLE building maintenance, improvements, and classroom technology such as televisions, iPads, laptops, Promethean boards, etc.

In order to be successful, the PTO relies on the support and involvement of our entire school community. We aim to bring together and support the NLE community through family-friendly events, school-wide celebrations, student programs, and staff appreciation days. These things are only possible with PTO members and parent volunteers.  We encourage all of you to show your commitment by not only joining the PTO, but by taking on an active role in PTO activities and fundraisers.
